A Great Doctor’s Appointment Today…Fabulous News!

I wanted to share some good news with all of you.

I had a follow-up post treatment cycle #1 appointment today with my oncologist. She looked at my bloodwork from Monday and also did a physical exam. She had told me what to watch for that was indicative of good progress (softness in the tumor) and I had checked myself before my appointment today and thought I’d felt a difference. Her exam confirmed it! So, all signs are that the treatment is already working. WOOHOOO! I could not be more thrilled! The joy I felt after this appointment was so wonderful and I am so incredibly grateful.

When I talked to her about how I’d felt throughout the treatment she also said that was good. In short she said something along the lines of “well, you’re doing really well” – which are definitely words you want to hear from your oncologist!

We discussed the bloodwork strategy going forward so that I can get the injections if I need them which was also good news.

Tomorrow is the start of cycle #2, treatment #4, and all 3 meds. I am sure it will go well – and today’s news was a great bit of encouragement.
